Things

Saturday, we went to the german part of Switzerland, Hüttwil to be exact. Why so far away? Because I needed spelt husks. And in the nearest Landi, they had their stock all rotten during the winter. So, direction Spycher Handwerk here we go, temple of "nature" materials, where you can find real sheeps and camels, all sorts of wool, buttons, soaps, bedding, etc.

As a result: a bag of 10 kg organic spelt husks for CHF 40.– and a lambskin medicaly taned (the "all organic", mimosa taned, was really too rough...). And, cherry on the cake, a small tour in a real nice middle age craft market, a tasting of mint sirups (20 different sorts of mints!), swiss ice-creams and we got stucked in awe in front of freshly born ewes... The atmosphere was adorable, I would have stayed longer if it wouldn't have been with the big belly and the heat. Next year!

Monday

T-shirt

A little game from Sandra. You had to show your favourite t-shirt. Difficult choice for me, I don't wear t-shirt anymore... I could chose this one, but it has been reduced to ashes, or my old oldy t-shirt from les Babibouchettes from when I was 3-4 years old (but I can't find it, it may be in the attic).

So I chose my midinette's t-shirt:

T-shirt

Why midinette? Because it's a Gorillaz' t-shirt I bought like a big grouppie in Berlin, 2006, during an excellent week with the no-less excellent Herr Pr. Studer, and mostly because it is way, wayyyy too small for me, I can't wear it! A compulsive purchase, you see. But it doesn't stop me to love it very much! Nowadays, I use it as a nightgown for the Puce, when she sleeps at our home. She looks terrific with it!

Do note that I love that t-shirt even if I'm a pure pacifist, I can't stand agressivity nor weapons. But I do love bunnys and pink. Maybe it's the right balance?

To prepare

petite couverture taupe et bleu

On the 25th january 2009, I will take part of my first craft fair. I didn't really chose the easiest way to begin, because Hand in Hand will take place in Uster, near Zürich... It's in the german part of Switzerland. I will have to speak schwizertütch. This craft fair is organised by Yuko, a suisso-japanse girl (I love the metis-touch!), and I will be the only west-swiss-french-speaking. I will mostly propose tiny blankets, pouch slings, warmies and other surprises. If you happen to be near or fell like coming to say hello, you are the most welcome!

My sewing-machine has then been working again these days, and my Internet sites are again on the working table... I'm thinking, debating, bouncing, hesitating, argueing with Mr Redhead... Something's good is cooking, I can assure you that. And I really hope this will go live really quick.

Mitaine

On the other hand, those mittes will not be on sale. They are greatly inspired from these, so I will not be a bad copycat and sell them to earn some cash. I will just give them to a dear friend.

Saturday

Snow

Yes, here too.

It's cold and windy.

And Mr Roux is as happy as can be.

We are enjoying the candle light from 17:00.

Tea is my favorite fuel again.

Morning was calm, the rare noises were muffled. (does that word, "muffled", exist??? I can't rembember and I'm too lazy to search on the net or a dictionnary...)

And the opening was filled with favorties, so many talents!

Thursday

Before

Before falling in again.

Before washing the dishes (because I promised).

Before going out, in the cold and the crowd.

Before going on with the paperwork.

Before confronting with the administration.

Before sharing with you my new mini Moos.

Moo!

Before trying to take pictures with this non-light and the gray sky.

Before being caught by the storm of things to do and to tide up.

Before looking forward to have dinner with her.

Before trying to think about all the projects in my head.

Before taking the bus.

Before walking the streets of this town I love and eating roasted chestnuts (hot, so good!!!).

Before realizing I forgot this or that again.

Before.

Having a break, for one hour and a half, taking that time to sew. Finishing to put togehter batting, top and back of that little quilted blanket that is waiting for monthes. Sewing, following the music, with the machine and then by hand. Telling to itself that it's like riding a bike, you can't forget it. Being a bit tended, eventhough. Feeling the back ache sneaking in again, and stopping even if it's still not finished. And realize.

To what point I miss it.

To what point I need it.

To what point it is hard, indeed. I didn't want to realize. But it is hard. Very.

I know I shouldn't complain, at least I've got a job, I earn monney, I can live, eat, sleep under a roof. But enough with the hiding, enough with being optimistic. It hurts.

For me, creating is breathing.

To create is to live.

And it's that simple.

These last monthes, I've been learning patience. It's good, maybe.

But it's hard.

And then, all the tiny moments of happiness that cross my way, I enjoy them a maximum, I taste them, I live them entirely. And it's beautiful!
